Set up Broadcast Me for iOS

Broadcast Me is a free streaming app for iOS and Android. You can use this as an alternative to Larix Broad caster.

1. Download Broadcast Me for iOS on the App Store

2. Allow access to camera

3. Allow access to microphone

4. Don't allow notifications (this is not necessary)

5. Tap the Settings cog

6. Choose your resolution. We recommend 1280x720. Please see our article on bitrate and resolution if you have a slow connection.
7. Choose your bitrate. We recommend 2000. Please see our article on bitrate and resolution if you have a slow connection.
8. Adaptive Bitrate should be on (tick) if you have an unstable connection. You can leave this off (cross) if you have a good connection.
9. Save Video Locally: leave on (tick) if you want to record your video for self-evaluation. Turn off (cross) if you do not need this.
10. Server URL: tap edit
11. Delete (x) the example URL

12. Paste in the Full stream URL with stream key from your Class Owner Dashboard. Do not type this manually because if you make any mistakes it will not work!

13. Tap Add
14. Tap Done

15. Exit the Settings page with the (x) button

16. Tap the Record button to start your live stream

17. You will see the message "Did start recording to stream-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx". You are now live!
